Jim has spent his life since he was a young adult, in his professional career, in local volunteer service organizations, and in politics in Service and Leadership, practicing Persistence, Perseverance, Courage, Commitment, Teamwork and Action. It takes more than words to build a brighter future. He has a unique combination of personal service locally, for our children, Professionally working dally with colleagues and clients from around the world, and politically, these last ten years, in many roles both as Republican Party leader and Candidate.

- Received more votes in a statewide Republican primary than Governor Bruce Rauner received in either of his statewide gubernatorial primaries, which he won.
PERSONAL HISTORY
Jim was raised in Bartonville, Illinois in Peoria County. He graduated from Limestone Community High School where he established his leadership skills through academics in honors classes, participated in sports, including swimming, track, cross country and basketball during his school years.
Jim is a 1984 graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management and a minor in Computer Science. He was on Purdue’s Swimming team during his freshman year and learned discipline, perseverance, and fortitude in NCAA Division I athletics. He earned a place on the Dean’s list spring 1983 and fall 1984. He graduated in 3 ½ Years in December 1984.
Faith, family, and community are the foundation of Jim’s life. Jill and Jim married in 1985 and have been married 40 years. They have been blessed with four children and six grandchildren to date. Jim and Jill are active parishioners at St. Anne Parish in Oswego.
Jim’s long history of community service includes:
- Lifeguard and Swimming Instructor 1979-1980 Peoria Park District, Lake Camelot 1980-1984
- Co-founded 1981 and coached 1981-1984 the competitive Lake Camelot Swim Team in Mapleton, Illinois, it is still thriving to this day.
- Served on his Church’s Education Commission.
- Served as a Coach and Board Member, Meet Director and was elected to Vice-President of the club of the USA Swimming Club, Midland Dolphins in Midland, MI for 5 years. 1992-1997
- In Aurora, IL Coached Boys and Girls Grade School Basketball teams for 5 years. 2005-2010
- In Oswego Troop 63, he served 15 years as a Scout Leader, as Assistance Scout Master and board Member. 1999-2015
PROFESSIONAL CAREER SUMMARY
After graduating from Purdue University Jim joined The Dow Chemical Company in Midland Michigan where he began his career in February 1985 -until July 1997. He began his career as an I/T applications developer and quickly earned a reputation as one of the emerging people and technology leaders, he become a Lead for Dow’s US Area team, was awarded Dow’s Information Technology Department’s highest award in 1991 , and eventually became the Global Technology Team Lead, responsible for Global system support 7×24 hours a day, 365 days a year. His final position during his tenure at Dow was joining the SAP Global Manufacturing Team as a Materials, Production and Quality management Application Specialist.
During his time at Dow in 1995, he received professional certification from the American Production and Inventory Control Society, a Certification in Production and Inventory Mgmt. (CPIM)
In 1997, Jim and his family moved back to Illinois when he joined SAP America, Inc. SAP in their Greater Chicago area office. June 1997 – September 2002 · 5 yrs. He served SAP Consulting for multiple clients in Illinois and around the US and projects. He was the Project Manager on several successful multi-million-dollar projects. Other projects he was the lead Quality Management application consultant.
In Sep 2002, Jim founded his own software consulting company in 2002 and has been a successful business owner and entrepreneur with more than 35 years’ experience in Information Technology, Project Management, and Business Process Implementation.
He has managed multi-million-dollar projects with oversight in all phases of the business process. His specialty is manufacturing companies’ Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Quality Management implementations. His practice crosses diverse industries including Electronics, Automotive, Agriculture Sciences, Defense and Aerospace, Life Sciences & Pharmaceutical, Energy, Chemical / Process, Plastic Packaging, Office Products, Retail, Construction Equipment, and Metals Foundries / Railroad Products.
Jim’s success is a result of his hands-on approach, listening to all levels of staff from factory line to executives. He has worked throughout Illinois, the United States, and worked internationally on projects for medium sized companies to Fortune 100 companies, successfully implementing complex, efficient, re-engineering of work process, new technologies and software.
